Fremantle Frock + Night Garden PJs + Give Away

Updated: Apr 18, 2023

This is another of my new patterns called the Fremantle Frock! Im so excited to share this pattern with you all because it is definitely a show stopper and Fit To Flatter! Featuring princess seams with sneaky little pockets hidden inside the front princess seams. The hem is a completely faced curved hem, giving it weight and structure, and the Fremantle Frock also has inset short sleeves as you can see in the pictures. This dress would look perfect made up in a quilting weight cotton and other structured fabrics. I tested it in a light weight Chambray and it didn't quite have the right shape and feel as it does with a more structured fabric.

Above is Alison from The Tall Mama blog. She is over 6ft tall and I just love having her test for me. She has a blog post describing her experience making the Fremantle Frock and the alterations she made to suit her shape. I think the block coloring is perfect. I totally wish I would have thought of that.

Millie loved making the Fremantle Frock so much I think she is up to her 3rd or 4th one already. She made no alterations and it fits her like a glove. I especially love it in the Jaws fabric. LOL!

I met Laeti in New Zealand last year and when she asked to be a tester, I knew she would do a great job. She ended up making the small on the top and grading out to a medium at the bottom. Due to the loose fit of the dress she decided that next time she could just get away with a small. This dress does not have any zippers and is meant to be a pull over dress. If you prefer to wear more fitted garments, I would suggest adding back darts to bring it in at the back.

And how cute is Erin in her dress. I love this pose! Read all about her dress on her blog. She also sells really awesome fabrics through her website too, Brave Fabrics.

Night Garden PJ Set

I named the Night Garden PJ Set after one of my Niece and Nephew's favourite TV show. Im from the US and I love big comfy Pajamas! I think they are perfect to make for the whole family at christmas time. Make the wide leg pants in to shorts for the summer months and keep them long and flowy for the cooler months. The camisole is faced and feature adjustable straps. I especially love the little pocket detail on the front. The pants are extra wide leg and wonderful for us girls with a little extra fluff in the legs. The pants also feature a contrast hem, pockets and a satin ribbon tie + elastic! These really are the perfect PJs and would work well in Quilting weight cotton or even a voile or rayon. That would be extra snuggly!!!

Also, don't forget about the Giveaway!!!
